Loka Seva Prathisthana (LSP) is a registered charitable trust based in Bengaluru, dedicated to holistic rural development since 2011. What began as a small voluntary effort has today grown into a structured initiative working across multiple villages in Karnataka, aiming to uplift rural communities through education, culture, livelihood, environmental sustainability, and community leadership.
Our work is built on a simple belief: lasting development happens when villagers become active participants in transforming their own communities. With this approach, LSP focuses on empowering rural families—not just providing services, but enabling them to take ownership of their village’s progress.
LSP carries out its mission through four core initiatives, each designed to address a specific dimension of rural development:
LSP’s work is rooted in community participation. We enter a village through education and gradually expand into health, environment, culture, economy, and social harmony. Villagers are encouraged to identify problems, discuss solutions, and actively participate in implementing them—with LSP playing a guiding and supportive role.
Our Impact, Over the years, LSP has:
Supported thousands of children through Kalika Kendras
Trained rural women and youth across 22 taluks
Revived traditional knowledge, games, and cultural practices
Facilitated environmental conservation activities like plantation drives and water source protection
Improved community participation and leadership in multiple villages
Our interventions have helped create more informed, confident, and capable rural communities
Loka Seva Prathisthana remains committed to strengthening rural India by combining traditional wisdom with modern development practices. With continued community involvement, volunteer participation, and partnerships, LSP aims to build villages that are self-reliant, sustainable, culturally rich, and future-ready
